Source Code Published!


I've uploaded the Unity project for WASTE EATER for anyone who wants to play around with it and use it as a jumping off point for something else. Feel free to use it for whatever, though I'd prefer you don't use the same art assets.

The code's kinda messy and honestly I don't care enough to try to clean it up. If you're going to try to use it as an educational resource, then all power to you I guess. The code for the textboxes is truly gnarly.

Programs I've used and that you'll probably need too:

  • Unity for actually running the project (I'm using 2022.1.12f1 on Apple Silicon, but hopefully it ports over to most other versions fine)
  • Inky editor for editing Ink files (Ink is the narrative engine that WE's writing is parsed from)

Anyway, hope this is interesting to someone! Feel free to reach out to me if you've got any specific questions or want advice.
