"nothing is ever done alone. all we have is each other. fight like hell." why am i crying over a game about talking to a bird? i loved this. thank you for making it. i gasped at the ending. keep doing and making wonderful things :)

aaaaa thank you so much for your lovely comment! it's such a joy to make something that can affect someone in such a way. hope you have a lovely day <3

this was so beautiful. to be the last of something mostly forgotten or unknown so that other people can live safely and well — heartbreaking. thanks for making this <3

thank you so much for checking it out!! <3

(+1)

extremely sad,but at the same time it reminds me of the nature of humankind, you help someone and they'll be thankfull until tomorrow, when they forget about what you did

(+1)

Absolutely fantastic. Completely heartbreaking. Tragically hopeful.

I haven't cried from a game in a good long while. Something about making a world so others could garden, do art, and cook... Just hits hard. Very wonderful, came from the TikTok as well, so happy to have stumbled upon it.

(+1)

thank you so much for checking out the game! your comment made my morning 💖

(+2)

This is one of the few times I think I could describe something as painfully hopeful. It completely captures the feeling of fighting tooth and nail for something, getting it, and having nothing left to fight for.

(+1)

such a delight to hear that something i've made could convey across feeling, especially one so complex. thank you for the comment <3

(+1)

I absolutely loved and adored this. Came from the tiktok <3

hell yes!! so glad you liked it 🥰

Hey Cain, this was great!

I was not expecting this kind of story - and I really enjoyed reading your post-mortem as well.

Also, thank you for the shoutout to Breathe <3

aw thank you so much for checking this out!! <3

I just found you from your grindr game, and I am so glad I did. This was utterly captivating. The concept, the atmosphere; every piece of dialogue said so much with so little. Thank you for making this, and thank you for sharing it.

thank you so much for your lovely comment! <3

GOD, THE POIGNANCY... It's so thick, I love it. I love this little story, I love its funny little moments, and I especially love its more hard-hitting moments. Just, a lot of feelings!! A LOT OF REGRETFUL, MISERABLE, ANGUISHED FEELINGS, alongside the idea that, that's not everything. The idea that this, in particular, really sucks. It sucks to suck. It, really sucks to suck, doesn't it.

And all of the writing alongside the visuals and audio... IT ALL FITS TOGETHER TO MAKE A REALLY POWERFUL LITTLE STORY. Huge, huge fan of the pauses, personally... I'm, addicted to stuff like that. It's so good. I love it.

THANK YOU FOR MAKING THIS!!!

aaaa thank you so much!!! <3 <3 <3

I really enjoyed this game so I wanted to personally invite you to the queer games bundle 2023.

I would consider it an honor if you would join.

omg, thank you so much for letting me know this is on! made a submission, keen :)

(+1)

Thank you, I have wanted to invite you to this for a while. It's a huge honor to have you as part of the bundle.

right back at you! your work has been hugely influential to me and i'm delighted to be part of anything you're hosting <3

(+1)

Whoa, thank you so much, that means a lot to me. I've gotta go invite a few more people I admire to the bundle but let me know if you need anything. Good luck!

i wasn't sure if the game froze, was waiting for me to do something or if that was it. but I really liked it anyway

(1 edit)

i'm glad you liked it! there's a few long pauses in the game, particularly before the end

(+1)

Bautiful and haunting. I love you, Waste Eater.

(+1)

aaa thank you!! <3

(+2)

I wouldn't call this a game, more of a short low-interaction visual story, and a very good one at that: art style, dialogues, characterisation, the whole process of worldbuilding that can be made out by the events, everything was captivating.

Well done!

(+1)

aww thank you <3

Where do I sign up? Get me out of here.

I was already imagining cryo and then a post-organic-body brain/cyborg that maybe volunteers for space/underwater/arctic life/science in all sorts of bodies.I was thinking about bioreactors (and similar) too.

that'd be awesome! there's a lot of sci-fi about bodymorphing to fit different conditions (To Be Taught If Fortunate and Trigaea come to mind) but it's usually about adapting to alien planets. would love to see more earth-centric stuff like this

(+3)

Great writing. Loved the twist at the end. Possible sequel maybe?

(+2)

thank you! i do love this little world so i might make more things in this universe. possibly in the form of a prequel where we see more of the wasters

(+2)

A beautiful existential game. Full of wonders and melancholic hope for the future.

thank you so much! <3

(+3)

Impressive atmospheric game that does a lot with a little + incredible style and art + great writing. Can’t wait for what’s next, cain!!

thanks so much for the lovely comment and for taking the time to check this out <3

(+1)

That was a fun experience! Well... a moving experience. Awesome work!

thank you so much! glad you enjoyed it :)

This need to be a universe like a series or something

(-5)

I do not like hating rich dudes but this game is very cool

(+2)

i like the art style of this game its looks amazing

the art was definitely 90% of the effort. so glad you like it!

visual novel style games are kind of un touched genre of games

(+2)

An equally cynical and heartful communion here with an evocative setting. Love the art and bustling nature sounds. Very well done!

thank you so much!! really appreciate the kind comment <3
