i did a similar (albeit "traditional" not digital) project for my portfolio a couple years ago about toxic male body image standards in the gay community and used some of the grindr messages i'd been sent, too! i love the idea of incorporating personal day-to-day interactions like that into someone's artwork <33
yeah i do love these kind of art projects too. i was initially only going to use the weird/funny messages, but it felt more right to represent the full breadth of what grindr interactions can be like.
